Consecutive Interpretation

An Interpreter is the person who interprets, in other words, the one who establishes, simultaneously or consecutively, verbal communication between two or more people that do not speak the same language.

CConsecutive interpretation is one of the interpretation (translation) methods that divides a person’s dialog into several seconds or minutes, and then translates them consecutively. This is considered to be a Basic interpretation technique. While the person speaks, the interpreter takes notes, and after a certain amount of time, performs the translation.

That is the reason why this type of translation takes almost twice the time as a simultaneous translation, and does not allow a natural fluency in the presentation. On the other hand, it has a greater precision than the simultaneous translation, besides not requiring special equipment for the audience.
