Locution and Dubbing

Dubbing consists of replacing the original audio-visual production voice (films and series, cartoons, documentaries, advertisements) with a voice in another language, as if the voice being heard is the voice of the person being seen.

Dubbing is performed in specialized studios, but for a dubbing to be considered as a good one, a perfect synchronism must exist between the person’s lip movement and the voice being lent, in order to preserve the dialog naturalness.
